GEOGRAPHIC MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Studies and projects conducted by WRC involve strong emphasis on data collection, integration and management. Water data has been enormous and is continuously building up in the Center's data bank. The files are normally associated with powerful softwares for data entry, screening, processing, validation, analysis, interpretation, presentation and archiving.
WRC produces thematic presentation in GIS such as maps and enriched graphical outputs. WRC also designs hands-on trainings and workshops related to GIS and MIS.
WRC uses the NAMRIA-accredited Trimble-Navigation PathFinder Community Base Station System as its global positioning system stationed at the Engineering Building rooftop in USC Talamban Campus.
